Notre philosophie / our philosophy
Le matériau textile est transversal par excellence. Il contribue à la fabrication de nombreux produits auxquels il apporte ses propriétés intrinsèques, liées aux matières qui le composent ou aux procédés qui permettent de l’élaborer.
Le textile est un substrat souple qui, combiné avec d’autres matériaux, permet d'imaginer des produits innovants, à la croisée de technologies émergentes. Notre objectif est de développer une synergie entre l’innovation des textures textiles et celle des technologies avancées (texturgie)
Our motto is to organize textile system skills in network , to weave bridges between actors of interrelated technologies in order to foster innovation. Textile industry evolves into a material industry we could call texturgie as it regards textile textures and advanced technologies.
Materiality in the digital age - Human beings connected to matter
This work compares the development of materials (hybridization) to the digital evolution (hybridization of reality with digital elements) with the aim of reinventing another connection to materiality. It challenges us to consider the results of going beyond structural logic in a rational approach to matter. This contemporary outlook on materiality refers to intangible phenomena which we should regard not as the disappearance of matter as such, but rather as working with a different kind of matter.
